Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Men's Soccer team settled for a 2-2 tie with the visiting SUNY Delhi Broncos. The Pioneers record moves to 2-0-1 on the season.

Both teams fought for control of the game for the opening 30 minutes until Alfred State found the breakthrough with a great pass by
Patrick Mucha to find
Henry Leahy who rifled it into the back of the net to give the Pioneers a 1-0 lead. Both teams went into halftime deadlocked at 1-1 with as Delhi was able to capitalize off a corner kick.

The second half intensity picked up with play becoming more physical and both teams combining for 12 fouls in the half. In the 53rd minute the ball from an Alfred State corner kick fell to
Will Leahy, who despite taking a hit from an opposing player, delivered a rocket into the bottom left corner to give ASC the 2-1 lead. The Broncos applying late pressure were able to find the equalizer in the 75th minute to make it 2-2. Both teams had late pushes to find the winner but the match ended in a stalemate at 2-2.
