Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Men's Soccer team took another win on home turf 4-2 over the visiting Allegheny Gators. The Pioneers move to 2-0 on the season.

Alfred State started the game on the back foot but a quick counter attack goal 7:46 into the game by
Jack Emo injected life into the pioneer offense. 20 Minutes later Alfred State would score off a
Henry Leahy breakaway chance to make it 2-0 and a minute late
Alexander DuBreuil would score his first collegiate goal for the Pioneers to make it 3-0. With 13 minutes to go in the half both teams would trade blows off set pieces to make the halftime score 4-1 in favor of the Pioneers.

In the second half Alfred State was able to fend off of the Gators until the 85th minute where Allegheny was able to convert from the penalty spot as the Pioneers came out victorious 4-2.

Henry Leahy finished the match with two goals from four shots,
Jack Emo and
Alexander DuBreuil notched one goal each. Â
Alexander Preston picked up the win in goal while
Marcus Tittle came in with 10 minutes remaining and made 1 save.

ASC will be in action at Pioneer Stadium on Saturday, September 6
th to take on SUNY Delhi for a 3pm kickoff.
