After Two Events On Day One, The Pioneers Sit In Eighth At SUNYAC Championships

Cortland, NY- The Alfred State women's track and field team is in eighth place through two events on day one of the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships.

Oli Kraynik qualified for tomorrow's 800-meter run finals, after clocking a time of 2:21.20. Hailey Kumpf also qualified for the finals with a time of 2:26.55

In the 100 meter dash, Haley Beman qualified for the finals after crossing the line in 12.60 seconds.

In the Javelin throw, Janiesha Dureny took eighth place with a best throw of 26.57 meters.

The rest of the events for today were postponed due to weather conditions. Madison Snayczuk and Haley Beman will resume the long jump, while Dureny and Kenzie Gillette with resume the hammer throw tomorrow.
