Cortland, NY- The Alfred State men's track and field team sits in fifth place through day one of the SUNYAC Outdoor Championships.
Ben VanVranken finished second in the pole vault after going over 4.40 meters.
In the long jump,
Tyler Konter notched a seventh place finish with a best jump of 6.72 meters.
Jordan White finished in eighth, after a best jump of 6.52 meters.
Aden Alexander followed with a jump of 6.33 meters to finish in 11
th.
Greg Raymond was the top Pioneer finisher in hammer throw, with a best throw of 46.62 meters for 12
th place. Brandon Russell and
Tyler Lantrip followed in 14
th and 15
th, with respective best throws of 43.04 meters and 43.12 meters.
The rest of the events for today were postponed due to weather conditions.
Kyle Kapichok and
Colton Crowe will resume the Javelin throw tomorrow.
