Alfred, NY- The Alfred State Men's Lacrosse team secured the AMCC Championship title in today's match-up against the #3 seed, Hilbert, 19-5!

It was an all-around team performance from ASC in today's victory.
Griffin Doan and
Dom Rosettie both led the day with a total of 10 goals between the two.
Mike Wojcik secured a haul of his own while
Brady Nugent netted two goals.
Ryan Batson,
Jesse Young and
Luca Campanelli added one of their own as well.
Matthew Burris totaled 12 saves on the day and a big win in the net.

In the first period, four Pioneers found the net for a total of six goals as they led the way 6-0. Rosettie notched a hat-trick within the first 15 minutes of play while Wojcik, Doan and Batson all tacked on a goal of their own.

The Hilbert Hawks led the second period with three goals, putting them on the board. Nevertheless, ASC also tallied two of their own goals from Rosettie and Doan, 8-3 going into halftime.

The Hawks started the third period off with their fourth goal of the game. Within 20 seconds after the Hilbert goal, Nugent tacked on two consecutive goals to put the Pios up by six goals, 10-4. Shortly after, the Hawks would notch an additional goal, trying to creep up on ASC. The Pioneers snagged two more goals to close out the third period, 12-5.

Doan and Wojcik led the final period of play off, as they completed a haul and a hat-trick for themselves. Young would also pitch in, notching his lone goal of the game as the Pioneers sat comfortably with a 10-point lead. ASC would snatch three more netted goals to close out the championship game and bring home the title, 19-5!
