Hamburg, NY- The Alfred State Women's Lacrosse team notched their last regular-season win tonight against the Hilbert Hawks, 9-4. This now puts the Pios at a 4-8 overall record, 2-4 in the conference.
Karlee Hargather led the way for the Pioneers, tallying a hat-trick in today's game.
Alaina Kaczmarczyk and
Abigail Lussier each contributed two goals.
Jaiden Williams and
Madison Le also added one of their own.
In the first period, Hargather netted her first goal at the 11 minute mark. Hilbert tacked on one of their own shortly after. Hargather would also start off the second period with another good goal. Lussier found the net twice and Kaczmarczyk closed out the period with her own, 5-1.
Hargather would complete her hat-trick following half-time to which Le would respond with her own free position goal, 7-1. ASC would score two more goals in the third, putting them up 9-1. The Hawks managed to snag three goals in the fourth but were only limited to those as the Pios took home the win 9-4.
The Pioneers will hit the field for their first playoff game against Mount Aloysius, Tuesday April 29
th at 5 pm.
