Alfred, NY – The Alfred State women's track and field team had performed well in their home opener.
In the women 100-meter hurdles,
Charis Evans notched second with a time of 18.32.
Oli Kraynik had a time of 5:05.71 that gave her a second-place finish in the 1500-meter run.
The 100-meter dash saw an Alfred first-place finish with
Haley Beman. Beman's time was 12.93.
Two Pioneer runners made it into the top three for the 800-meter dash.
Hailey Kumpf came in second while
Olivia Plummer notched third. Their times were 2:29.67 and 2:37.34 respectively.
Charis Evans took third in the 400-meter hurdles notching 1:17.48 for her time.
For the 200-meter dash,
Emily Richardson took the victory as she came in first with a time of 26.66. Following behind her, Beman notched second in 27.03.
Mackenzie Gillette came in second for the Pios in the hammer throw. Her best attempt was 42.76 meters.
In the shot put event,
Anna Koszelak marked a best of 8.60 meters to take second place.
Long Jump saw
Madison Snayczuk take a first-place win with 5.32 meters, and Beman in second place with 5.03.
Emily Richardson tallied 1.58 meters in the high jump.
Koszelak took third for discus throw, tallying 27.45 meters.
Snayczuk also finished with a mark of 11.15 meters in the triple jump. With that mark she became an AARTFC qualifier.
