Chestertown, MD- The Alfred State Pioneers grabbed their 12
th season win today against the Washington College Shoremen, 5-2.

Spencer Riehler notched the win for the Pioneers on the mound in today's game. The mound also saw
Jordan Hughes,
Nathan Lucks and
Daniel Lewis pitch in for the win.
Caleb Walker and
Zach Young each went 2-5 at the plate and
Anthony Snyder notched his second homerun of the season.

ASC found themselves on the board first in the top of the third off a Snyder homerun. Washington College came back in the bottom of the fourth to also grab their own lone run, tying the game 1-1.

It wasn't until the top of the seventh that the Pios were able to snag one more run that started by a
Frank Grad single to right field.
Elijah Barinas would crank one to right center, scoring Grad, 2-1. The Shoremen notched one more run before the Pios closed out the game in the 10
th inning, scoring three additional runs to bring home the win, 5-2.

The Pioneers will be back on their home field this Saturday for their first conference match-up against the Mount Aloysius Mounties. First pitch is scheduled for 1 pm.
