ASC's Late Rally Falls Short Against Wolves

Alfred, NY- The Alfred State men's lacrosse team dropped today's game against Keuka 12-7. The Pioneers fall to 2-4 on the season.

Mike Wojcik and Luca Campanelli led the way with two goals each. Wojcik also tallied three assists on the day. Payton Bliss suffered the loss in goal after tallying eight saves.

In the first quarter, the Wolves got on the board first as they scored three goals. The Pios answered late in the quarter with a goal from Mike Wojcik off a Brady Nugent assist to make it a 3-1 game. Keuka was able to score three goals in the second while holding the Pioneers scoreless to take a 6-1 lead into the halftime break.

The Pioneers were able to find the back of the net twice in the third quarter. Luca Campanelli and Ryan Batson scored the goals.

In the fourth quarter, Alfred State rallied and scored four straight goals. Campanelli opened the scoring with a goal. Wojcik followed with a goal to make it an 11-5 game. Then a few minutes later, Griffin Doan followed with a goal. Then after a Keuka turnover, Mike Coburn found the back of the net to make it an 11-7 deficit. The Pioneers could get any closer as they suffer the 12-7 loss.

The Pioneers will be back home on Saturday March 22nd for a game against SUNY Morrisville at 3 pm.
