Baltimore, MD- The Alfred State Women's Lacrosse team brought home their first season win today against Notre Dame of Maryland, 15-4.

The Pioneers were led in today's match-up by
Karlee Hargather, as she notched six goals with three assists.
Abigail Lussier tacked on four of her own goals, while
Madison Le tallied three goals as well.
Alaina Kaczmarczyk and
Erica Jackson would also each notch a goal to assist in the team's win.

Hargather notched her first two goals of the game within the first six minutes of play. 20 seconds after Hargathers second goal, Jackson found the net assisted by Hargather.

With
Allison Bateson winning the draw control, Le would quickly snatch a goal with the assistance of Bateson, putting the Pioneers up 4-0 with 8:50 left in the first quarter. Hargather found the net one more time in the first quarter with two minutes left.

ASC kickstarted the second quarter aggressively as Lussier, Le, and Hargather would all notch goals within a three-minute span, Hargather assisting two and scoring one, 8-0.

Notre Dame would manage to retaliate and grab one goal with four minutes left in the second quarter, but Lussier snapped back with her second and third goal of the day. This put the Pios up 10-1 going into the third quarter.

Notre Dame came out first notching their second goal of the game but four minutes later Le and Hargather netted goals.

The Gators grabbed their final two goals to which the Pioneers would seal the game with three more goals, taking home the win 15-4.

ASC will be back on the field tomorrow to take on Trinity Washington University at 11 am.
