Â
In game one, the Pios hopped on the board first in the top of the first, as Campbell singled through the right side. Scott would then follow suit and single through the left side, advancing Campbell. Larsen would come up and rocket a ball down the left field line to score Campbell. The Blue Jays were quick to retaliate and earn one run, 1-1. After a scoreless second inning, Saint Josephs would grab two more runs in the bottom of the third.
Â
It wasn't until the top of the fifth that the Pios were able to snag three important runs with the help of
Nicole Youngberg and Larsen. This put the Pios up 4-3 until the Blue Jays tied the game in the bottom of the inning. After some back and forth action of both teams putting runs up on the board, the Pioneers tied the game up 7-7 in the top of the seventh. In extra innings, they couldn't find the bat to score a run as the Blue Jays took the win, 8-7.
Â
In game two, after two scoreless innings, Wisconsin notched one run. The Pioneers reciprocated the energy and scored their lone run of the game off an error while bases were loaded. ASC held the Yellow Jackets to only three more runs but they couldn't make the comeback as the final was 4-1.
