Geneseo, NY- The Alfred State men's basketball team suffered a hard loss to the Geneseo Knights in tonight's Tuesday match-up, 87-60. With this loss, the Pioneers are now 1-5 on the season.

Mykell Lawson lit up the floor, knocking down 22 points, grabbing seven rebounds and tallying three assists.
Ben Sneddon contributed nine points, nine rebounds and three assists as well.

Although the Knights found the board first, Lawson quickly responded with a three-pointer assisted by
Darius Cunningham Jr. Lawson would then go on to score another 14 points throughout the first half. With help from Sneddon, who added seven of his nine points in the first. Going into half-time the Pioneers were only down by seven, 40-33.

Cunningham Jr. was the first Pio to put points up on the board in the second half. Geneseo continued to put pressure on the Pioneers as well as keeping a solid distance on the scoreboard. The Knights pulled further away, as Joesph Bauer was the last Pio to secure a basket off a free-throw. Geneseo would go on to take the win 87-60.

After Thanksgiving break, Alfred will head to Keuka on December 2
nd, with a tip off time set for 7pm.
