Alfred, NY- This week's Pioneer Athletes of the Week are Noah Currier (Football) and Gloria Stem (Volleyball).
 

Noah Currier (Oakfield, NY, Oakfield-Alabama) led rushing attack in the Pioneers victory over the Hartwick Hawks. Currier tallied 135 yards on 15 carries and four touchdowns, with his longest runs going for 55 yards. With those four touchdowns, Currier tied the single season rushing touchdown record with 16 so far on the season. Currier was also a threat in the passing game as he totaled 98 yards on nine receptions. 

 

Gloria Stem (Erie, CO, Erie) led the Pioneers offense to a 3-0 week with a total of 45 kills throughout three games. She shattered the previous kills-per match record with a remarkable 26 kills in the Oneonta game, as well as adding 17 digs for herself. She also broke the record for points per match with 28 points.
