Alfred, NY – The Alfred State men's soccer team took down the Soaring Eagles 3-2 in tonight's non-conference matchup. The Pioneers move to 7-2-6 on the season.
Elmira was able to strike first to take a 1-0 lead seven minutes into the game. The Pioneers were able to tie the game in the 37

Jack Farner open in the box for a goal. A few minutes later, the Soaring Eagles scored on a penalty goal to take a 2-1 lead into half.
In the second half, the Pioneers were able to tie the game at 2-2. Then in the 83rd minute, Farner found DuBreuil open in the box for a goal to take the 3-2 lead.
The Pioneers were able to hold off the Elmira offense for the rest of the game to secure the win. The Pios will be on the road this weekend to take on Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday, October 25, with kickoff set for 3:30 pm
