Buffalo, NY- The Alfred State women's cross country finished 14th out of 14 colleges at the Canisius Alumni Classic.

Oli Kraynik was the first to finish for the Pioneers, placing 72nd out of 155 competitors with a time of 20:34.3.

Ava Sylvester finished her race with a time of 21:58.8, placing 106th. Hailey Kumpf came in 113th with a time of 22:18.2, and Ashlen Rossi was too far behind her, placing 115th with a time of 22:27.4. The final two runners for the Pioneers were Caity Strecker and Karah Blackwell, with their own places of 130th and 148th. Strecker ran a 23:29.9, and Blackwell ran a time of 27:49.9.

The women's cross-country team will be competing at the AMCC championship on November 1st.
