Erie, PA- The Alfred State Women's Basketball team fought hard against the Lions in tonight's match-up, resulting in a loss, 77-52. Taylor Benjamin notched a double-double in tonight's game.
 
Benjamin led the Pioneers with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jenna George notched 11 points, Sarah Somers was right behind her with 10 points and 7 rebounds.  
 
The first quarter was an even match-up between the two teams as they fought hard for each bucket, ending in 22-12, Behrend. At the end of the second quarter, the Pios were trailing by 17 points. ASC was unable to make a comeback after halftime, as the Lions took home the win, 77-52.
 
The Pioneers will be back on the court this Saturday at La Roche, tip off set for 4 pm.
