Cobleskill, NY- The Alfred State men's soccer team shutout SUNY Cobleskill on the road 4-0. The Pioneers advances to 6-2 on the season.
Four different Pios netted a goal in the win, as the Pioneer defense did not allow a shot on goal. Alexander Preston would get the win.
After a scoreless first period, Henry Leahy got the Pios on the board first with a goal in the 46th minute. About 10 minutes later, Travis Scandalis knocked in a penalty kick goal to give ASC a 2-0 lead. A few minutes later, Nuri Sarbudak netted his fifth goal of the season off a Henry Leahy pass to make it a 3-0 game. Then in the 79th minute, Brogan Cotter added the final goal of the game to give the Pioneers the 4-0 win.
ASC will be back on the road as they take on Penn College, Tuesday Sept 24 at 6 pm.
