Pioneers Picked Up Three Wins On Day Three

Webster, NY- The Alfred State women's swimming and diving team hold on to third overall at the end of day three, after tallying three wins.

Emma Merrick let off the Friday night finals with a win in the 400 IM. She touched the wall in 4:46.66 to set a new school record.

Madison Snayczuk followed with a win in the 200 free to set a new school record as well. She pulled away from the pack to touch the wall in 1:57.95.

Mikaela Snayczuk would then tally a second-place finish in the 100 breast, after touching the wall in 1:07.66. Then in the 100 back, Alyssa James came away with a fourth place finish with a time of 1:01.85.

Then in the 100 fly, Adriana Gill and Gabriela Leite finished in 8th and 9th respectively.

In the final event of the night, the team of James, the Snayczuk sisters, and Mallory O'Keefe won the 400 medley relay with a team of 4:01.63. With that time they set a new school record, along with setting new AMCC conference records.
