Cortland, NY- The Alfred State men's swimming and diving team fall in a close meet to Cortland 178-101.
Conor Compton won both boards. On the 3-meter board, he scored 325.20, then on the 1-meter board he scored 325.05. Bryan Reichert would finish third on the 3-meter board with a total of 212.40.
Derek Mrachko also picked up a win in the 200 IM as he touched the wall in 2:13.95. He followed with a second-place finish in the 200 breast (2:24.56) and a third-place finish in the 100 breast (1:05.77). Fred Ginder won the 100-yard free with a time of 50.87.
Riley Hoyt had a good meet as he took second in the 100 breast (1:05.19) and a third-place finish in the 200 breast (22:25.58)
Also in the 200 IM, Dominic Mintz came in second with a time of 2:18.38. Followed by Alex Marthia in third with a time of 2:35.91.
The Pioneer will host PS Altoona next Saturday Nov 9th at 1 pm in the McLane Natatorium on Alfred University campus.
