Ithaca, NY- The Alfred State Men's Wrestling team has eight wrestlers moving on to day two of the Ithaca Invite, with five wrestlers still alive in the champion bracket.
Starting with Ryan Farley in the 125 bracket, who finished the day with a 1-0 record. After a bye in the opening round, he notched a 16-1 Tech Fall win. Then in the 141 bracket, Elijah Moshenek tallied two second period fall victories to move onto day two. Sean Malenfant (184) and Brent Perry (197) both notched fall wins to move on to the second day. While Aaron Johnson in the 285 bracket tallied a 5-0 decision win.
Also alive in the blood rounds, are Mason Drew (133), Benjamin Rivera (165), and Chris Herriman (184). The Pioneers will be back in action tomorrow morning at 9 am for day two of the Invite.
