Hamburg, NY- The Alfred State Volleyball team continued their impressive streak, defeating the Hilbert Hawks in straight sets, 3-0, marking their 18
th consecutive set win. This victory not only improved their overall record to 11-5 but also has highlighted their dominance in the conference.

Outside hitter,
Racquel Gerstenberger was a key player in tonight's match-up, delivering an impressive 11 kills, 13 crucial digs and two aces. The Hawks came to play tonight as well, as the first set kept everyone on their toes. The Pioneers and Hawks battled through errors and intense attacks, keeping the score close. ASC was able to close the set by an
Alayna Tomlinson kill and an
Ava Wickes ace, 26-24.

In the second set, the Pioneers had a strong nine-point rally, consisting of major kills by
Erin Gregoire,
Nayomie Ferrer and Tomlinson, as well as two aces from
Caley Larsen. As the score was 13-3, the Hawks were unable to make that connection and come-back. As Gregoire, Ferrer, Tomlinson, and Gerstenberger continued to dominate, the Pios were able to capture the second set, 25-14.

Caitlyn Gilman started the third set out with an impressive kill from Ferrer, followed by a kill by Gerstenberger from Wickes, as they set the tone 2-0. Hilbert focused back in, closing up the score quickly. ASC had a consistent rally that started with a Hawks error, followed by a Gerstenberger ace that led Hilbert to make a few more errors, 18-13. The Pioneers were able to clinch the final set, 25-21, bringing them home another win.

The Pios are back on the road this weekend as they head to Carlow on Saturday, game time set for 11 am.
