Pittsburgh, PA- The Alfred State Volleyball team pushed their win streak to seven as they swept Carlow (25-17, 25-23, 33-31). The Pioneers advanced to 12-5 on the season and 2-0 against AMCC foes. ASC has now won 21 straight set which is the most in program history during the NCAA Era.

Alayna Tomlinson led the Pioneers with 17 kills, while Racquel Gerstenberger notched a double-double with 11 kills and 10 digs. Nayomie Ferrer ended the day with 39 assists, and Caitlyn Gilman tallied five blocks.

The Pioneers took control early in the first set as they jumped out to a 12-5 lead. The Celtics was able to cut into the lead but back-to-back kills by Caitlyn Gilman and Alayna Tomlinson sparked another Pio run. ASC would go on to take the set 25-17.

Set two, open with back-and-forth action. Late in the set with the score 20-20, Tomlinson and Nayomie Ferrer tallied kills, and followed by three Celtics errors gave ASC the 25-23 set win.

ASC kept the momentum and went on to take set three to complete the sweep. The Pioneers return home for a matchup against PS Behrend on Wednesday 10/16 at 7 pm.
