Geneseo, NY- The Alfred State men's swimming and dive team took a tough loss against Geneseo today 211-71.

Conor Compton placed second on the 3-meter board with a score of 296.40, followed by scoring third on the 1-meter with a 305.90.

In the 100 breast, Riley Hoyt placed second with a time of 1:04.29 and in the 500 free he placed fourth touching the wall in 5:24.85. Fred Grinder finished fourth in the 50 free and the 200 free with respective times of 23.54 and 1:59.22. Parker Brod finished fourth in the 100 back with a time of 1:01.52, also placing fourth in the 100 free with a time of 52.99. In the 200 breast, Derek Mrachko touched the wall in third place with a time of 2:28.13 and in the 100 breast he finished in fourth with a time of 1:06.22. Dominic Mintz finished in fourth in the 200 fly with a time of 2:17.54 and in the 100 fly, he also finished fourth with a time of 59.10. Dillion Madigan landed himself a third place title in the 1000 free with a time of 12:00.44.

The Pios head back on the road to Rochester next weekend to take on Nazareth at 1 pm.
