Alfred, NY-  Early penalty goal by Potts gets Pioneers past Lions. Alfred secures fifth shutout of the season to move on to 9-2 on the season and 2-1 against conference foes.

Garrett Potts net's lone goal of the game, while Thaddeus Grierson tallied five saves.  

Early in the 1^st half, the Pioneers got a foul in the box leading to a penalty kick. Potts took the penalty kick for a goal to take the 1-0 lead.

Alfred was able to keep the Lions from scoring as all five shots on goal were saved.
