Geneseo, NY- Alfred State had three score in double figures but fell to Geneseo 83-72. The Pioneers drop to 0-1 on the season.

Zachary Gilebarto led the way off the bench as he went 6-8 from three for 18 points. Cody Schneider went 6-11 for 15 points, while Paris Jamison scored 14 points shooting 6-10 from the field.

Michael Miller opened the season with a three, a few plays later Schneider notched a steal and a layup for the 5-1 lead. Jamison would then hit a three to make it an 8-3 game. The Knights then rallied to take a 12-10 lead, before Emmanuel Leftenant put in a three. From there the Knights would string together a few runs to take the lead into halftime.

Following the break, Ryan Rosa and Miller made a three each to go along with a Jamison layup to chip away at the lead. After a that, the Knights were able to hold the Pioneers at bay to secure the win.
