Box Score Alfred, NY- Pioneers ends the home portion of their schedule with a 5-1 win over Wells on Senior Night. Alfred moves to 14-3 for the season and 6-2 in conference play.
Jackson Powers led the way scoring two goals while adding an assist. Nuri Sarbudak tallied two assists and a goal, and Thaddeus Grierson notched three saves on the day.
Wells got the game going as they scored a goal in the 15th minute. The Pioneers would then score five unanswered goals. Garrett Potts tied the game at one all with a goal off the assist from Powers. Later in the first half, Powers gave the Pio's the lead with a goal.
After halftime, it only took seven minutes for Sarbudak to find Power for his second goal of the game and the 3-1 lead. Then in the 60th minute, Sarbudak made it a 4-1 game with a goal. A few minutes later, Sarbudak helped put in the final dagger, as he found Eric Spring for a goal and the 5-1 lead.
