Box Score Alfred, NY- The Pioneers fought hard but fell short in tonight's AMCC matchup against Penn State Behrend 2-0. Alfred State drops to 11-3 on the season and 4-2 in conference play.
Brayden Fox tallied two saves while three Pioneers had a shot on goal. Riley Warren-Nichols, Henry Leahy, and Garrett Potts all tallied a shot on goal, but they were stopped by the Lions goalie.
The Lions got on the broad first in the 18th minute, a few minutes later Warren-Nichols tried to respond but the goalie was up for the task.
Then in the second half, Behrend scored a dagger and extended the lead to 2-0. The Lions would hold off the Pioneers to get the win.
