The Alfred State Women's Soccer team won today against Gwynedd Mercy 2-0 on the road.

The Pioneers came out strong offensively against the Griffins, having 18 shots-on-goal and netting two of those shots in the first half. In the 17th minute of the game, Megan Fischer (Bemus Point) found the back of the net off an assist from Madison Kice (Canadensis, PA). With back and forth play for the rest of the first half, Lauren Bondgren (Avon, NY) scored unassisted for the Pioneers with one minute remaining to give the Pioneers the lead heading into half.

Sierra Schofield (Delran, NJ) saved all seven shots on goal for the Pioneers.

The Pioneers look to face Medaille on Monday, September 26th at the Pioneer Stadium. The game will start at 6:00pm.
