Gavin Bathgate (East Rochester, NY/East Rochester) had another strong race as he led Alfred State at the Houghton Highlander Invitational. Bathgate was 3rd overall in a field of 123 runners.

Bathgate crossed the finish of the 8k course in 25:48.5. He was only 18.4 seconds behind the overall winner.

Andrew Hvisdack (Orchard Park, NY/Hamburg) was 54th (28:30.7), Aiden Bonomoo (Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan, NJ) was 71st (29:14.3), Ethan Kuhn (Kendall, NY/Kendall) was 80th (29:39.7), and Maxwell Chiarella (Niagara Falls, NY/Niagara Falls) rounded out the top five for the Pioneers with a 93rd place finish (30:32.5).

As a team the Pioneers scored 200 points and finished 7th out of ten teams that scored.
