Leading the way for the Pioneers was Christian Wescott, who crossed the finish line in 18th place with a time of 27:20.7. Max Knight followed as Alfred State's second finisher, placing 32nd overall with a time of 28:25.7.
Nolan LeBaron was third across the line for the Pioneers, earning 81st place with a time of 30:39.3. Close behind was Evan DeStefanis, who finished 85th overall in 30:58.3. Rounding out the scoring lineup for Alfred State was Mamadou Barry, who took 86th place with a time of 31:02.1.
Completing the race for the Pioneers, Grayson Montague finished 88th in 31:26.5, followed by Tiernan Bodolai in 92nd place with a time of 31:51.3. Will Lorenc crossed the line in 93rd place with a time of 32:29.9, while Liam Hudson earned 96th place in 33:17.3. Zach Garrow rounded out the Alfred State runners, finishing 97th overall with a time of 33:48.3.
As a team, the Pioneers top five scorers of Wescott, Knight, LeBaron, DeStefanis, and Barry combined for 194 points, helping Alfred State secure a seventh-place finish against a competitive field that included regional powers RPI and SUNY Geneseo.
The Pioneers will return to action at the SUNYAC Cross Country Championships in Oneonta, NY, on October 31. Race times are to be announced.
