Pioneers Stay Undefeated in Conference

The Alfred State Women's Volleyball team won 3-0 on the road at Mount Aloysius this afternoon.

The Pioneers began the day with a tight first set, finishing 25-22. However, Alfred State's defense was the key to success as they won with authority in the next two sets, 25-12 and 25-13, to finish the day with a 3-0 victory. Karleigh Haines (Jamestown, NY) led the Pioneers with 14 kills on the day while Keturah Gregory (Laurel, MD) added 11 kills as well. Nayomie Ferrer Santiago (San Juan, PR) also contributed 34 assists while having 10 digs in the victory.

The Pioneers add this victory to their winning streak, making this win number nine with the last four being conference wins.  Alfred State is currently 4-0 in the conference after handing Mount Aloysius their first loss in conference play on the season.

The team will look to continue their streak on Tuesday, October 18th at Pitt-Bradford. The game will be played at 7:00pm.
