The Alfred State women's cross country team finished 6th at the Houghton Invitational on Saturday.

Katie Watkins (Addison) led the blue & gold with a 49th place finish. She finished the 6k course in 28:37.92. Sarah Rivet (Shenendehowa) was 50th (28:38.38), Summer Kier (East Rochester) was 61st (31:52.46), Anna Hersom (Byron Bergen) was 65th (32:27.22), and Mattison Buckley (Wellsville) rounded out the top five with a 68th place finish (34:15.23).

Alfred State scored a 182 in the meet. St. John Fisher took the team title with a score of 35.

The Pioneers will have three weeks off before competing in the AMCC Championships that will be held at Alfred State on October 30th.
