Rochester, N.Y. – The Alfred State women's cross-country team competed at the Rochester Yellowjacket XC Invitational on Saturday, finishing 15th overall with 436 points in the 6K race.
 
Oli Kraynik led the way for the Pioneers, crossing the finish line in 58th place with a time of 24:24.8. Kraynik's performance put her in the top 60 of the individual field.
 
Freshman Cali Bennett was next across the line for Alfred State, finishing 170th with a time of 27:36.4. Right behind her was fellow freshman Ava McLean, who finished 172nd in 27:55.0.
 
Natalie Phillips finished fourth for the Pioneers, crossing the line in 184th place with a time of 28:45.6. Karah Blackwell rounded out the scoring five for Alfred State, finishing 206th with a time of 32:34.8.
 
Freshman Liliana Stauring also competed for the Pioneers, finishing 208th with a time of 37:54.6.
 
Alfred State returns to action on Oct. 2 at the NCAA Pre-Regional Meet in Fredonia, N.Y.
