The Alfred State volleyball team swept a pair of matches on day two of the Lycoming Tournament. They swept Nazareth 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 and then swept Harrisburg Area CC in an exhibition match 25-19, 25-4, 25-13.

Versus Nazareth, Alyssa Martin (Portville) and Faith McCombs (Amityville/Copiague) led the team with eight kills each. Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) finished with seven kills and 10 digs while Emma Petrichick (Genesee Valley) finished with a team high 15 digs. Nayomie Ferrer (Eastridge) passed out 31 assists and was credited with nine digs.

Ferrer was huge in the match-up with HACC. She passed out 24 assists and had 10 service aces. Perkins finished with eight kills and nine digs while Keturah Gregory (Laurel, MD) had eight kills.

The Pioneers (11-1) are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Medaille for a 7 p.m. AMCC match-up.
