Sarah Rivet (Waterford/Shenendehowa) led the way as the Alfred State women's cross country team finished 10th at Houghton on Saturday.

Rivet finished the 6k course in 81st in 29:34.9 to lead the blue & gold. Betsy Butlak (Angola/Lake Shore) was 87th (30:41.7), Katherine Frascella (Franklinville) was 91st (31:00.2), Anna Hersom (Byron Bergen) was 99th (34:15.5), and Emma Taggart was 103rd (36:59.2).

107 runners competed in the race with Geneseo taking home the team title.

The Pioneers will race in the annual Alumni race next weekend. The combined men's and women's race begins at 10:30 a.m.
