The Alfred State volleyball team traveled to Mt. Aloysius for an AMCC tri-match. The Pioneers were tripped up in both matches, falling 3-0 to both the hosts and Franciscan.

In a 25-18, 25-15, 25-20 loss to Mt. Aloysius (15-7, 5-2 AMCC), Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) led the way with seven kills and six digs. Jordan McCooey (Horseheads) passed out 21 assists and had 12 digs while Jordan Stauffeneker (Lansing) finished with nine digs.

The Barons (10-10, 3-1 AMCC) collected 14 service aces in a 25-19, 25-12, 25-9 victory in the Pioneers second match of the day. McCooey collected 20 assists and 10 digs while Stauffeneker finished with nine digs. Perkins finished with six kills and Alyssa Fox (Letchworth) added five.

Alfred State hits the road on Tuesday for a 7 p.m. contest at D'Youville.
