Emily Winter (North Collins) scored a pair of goals as the Alfred State women's soccer team defeated Hilbert on Tuesday afternoon.

Winter scored the lone goal of the 1st half when she netted her first career goal 21:41 into the contest.

Katherine O'Buckley (Queens/Francis Lewis) added to the Pioneer lead early in the 2nd half when she scored 2:22 in to make it 2-0. Winter added an insurance goal 2:38 later after getting a pass from Grace Donovan (Elma/Iroquois).

The Pioneers held a 26 to 25 shot advantage in the contest. Gretchen Hendrickson (Canisteo Greenwood) made six saves in nearly eighty minutes of work in the net. Laura Mecca (Hamburg) made two saves in the final ten minutes.

Alfred State returns home on Saturday when they take on AMCC leading Pitt Greensburg at 4:15 p.m.
