Madison Webster (Corning-Painted Post) recorded a double-double as the Alfred State volleyball team swept Cazenovia, 25-16, 25-19, 25-9, in the season opener for both teams.

Webster led the Pioneers with 16 kills (.423 hitting percentage) and 10 digs. Kiara Perkins (Coudersport, PA) finished with 12 kills (.471 hitting percentage), Sarah Raichlin (Binghamton/Chenango Valley) passed out 31 assists and had four of the team's 11 service aces, and Jordan Stauffeneker (Lansing) chipped in six digs.

The Pioneers hit .377 for the match including a .409 clip in the 3rd set.

The Pioneers host Maine Fort Kent on Sunday at Noon to wrap up their opening weekend.
