The Alfred State women's cross country team wrapped up the regular season with a tune-up 5k with RIT and Alfred University on the Pioneers home course. The blue & gold scored a 33 in the meet just behind RIT's 24.

Veronica Dailey (Addison) led the way for Alfred State with a 2nd place finish. She finished the course in 20:35 and was just two seconds behind the race winner Alex Carpenter from RIT. Julia Russell (Candor) was two seconds behind Dailey and finished 3rd (20:35). Kathryn Watkins was 7th overall (22:12), Molly Heaphy (West Hempstead/Long Island Lutheran) was 11th, and Katherine Fracscella (Franklinville) was 12th (24:46). 

The Pioneers now shift their focus to next Saturday's (10/27) ACAA Championships. The 6k championship race will be held on the golf course at SUNY Delhi. The Pioneers are the defending ACAA Champion.
