The Alfred State women's soccer team raced to a 4-0 lead in the 1st half and cruised to a 7-1 victory over Christendom (VA) on Saturday afternoon. The Pioneers improve to 4-1 on the season.

Sarah Williams (Cal Mum) got the scoring started after getting a pass from Darien Hooker (Canisteo Greenwood). Melissa Mineti (Livonia) made it 2-0 by beating the goalie after getting a pass from Williams. Michayla Salatel (Geneseo) scored a pair of goals to cap the scoring in the 1st half. Her first was assisted by Minetti.

Chloe Cox (Tuscon, AZ) scored her first of the season to start the scoring in the 2nd half. Hooker found the back of the net after getting a pass from Salatel and Karley Trotta (Massapequa/Plainedge) registered the final tally after getting a pass from Carissa Pompa (Rochester/Mercy).

The blue & gold wrap up their weekend up road trip on Sunday with a 1 p.m. contest at Penn State Abington.
