The Alfred State volleyball team continued their hot start to the 2015 campaign with a sweep over Hilbert. The blue and gold (7-0) tallied scores off 25-20, 25-11, and 25-16.

Janae Hamilton (Ellicottville), Lera Braun (Waterloo), and Jessica Padley (Sweet Home) led the way for Alfred State.  Hamilton recorded 10 kills and had two aces, Braun finished with 27 assists and four kills, and Padley tallied five kills and two aces for the blue and gold. 

Grace Hall (Ellicottville), Bryanna Godfrey (Tioga) and Madison Szpaicher (Ellicotville) each recorded four kills on the evening.

The blue and gold will be back in action Friday when they travel to Wilkes University to take on Wilkes (4 p.m.) and Sarah Lawrence (6 p.m.).
