The Alfred State women's soccer team doubled up SUNY Cobleskill 2-1 to improve to 3-1-1 on the young season.

Keri Teufel (Sachem East) got the Lady Pioneers on the board in the 27th minute when she scored on a 20 yard blast on a breakaway. The goal was the first of the season for Teufel.

In the 52nd minute, Haley Vosburg (Fillmore) made it 2-0 with her third goal of the season when she cleaned up a loose ball in front of the net.

Kimberly Sullivan cut the Alfred State lead in half with less than 18 minutes remaining when she found the back of the net.

The Lady Pioneers held a 17 to 13 shot advantage in the game. Morgan Schreiner (Spencerport) made nine saves in net to record the victory.

Alfred State is next in action when they host Medaille at 7 p.m. on Wednesday
