The Alfred State women's soccer team scored three goals in each half as they raced past SUNY Delhi 6-0 in their 2015 season opener. Five different Lady Pioneers found the back of the net.

Haley Vosburg (Fillmore) scored 7:54 into the game after getting a corner kick from Anna Rath (Medina). Sixteen minutes later Julia Yanarella (Wappinger Falls/Roy Ketcham) and Vosburg scored 1:12 apart to extend the Lady Pioneers lead to 3-0.

In the 73rd minute, Haley Russell (Keshequa) got on the board after getting a foot on a cross from Yanarella. Emily Wolf (Hornell) scored 2:08 later after getting a drop pass from Russell. Charlotte Rosvold (Spencer VanEtten) capped the scoring when she put in a rebound off a Wolf free kick with just over seven minutes remaining.

The blue & gold outshot Delhi 32-4 in the contest. Allison Danielak (Brockport) made two saves to record the shutout. In net for Delhi, Megan McKenna made 17 stops.

The Lady Pioneers are back in action on Friday when they host Waynesburg (PA) at 5 p.m.
