The Alfred State volleyball team defeated Hilbert 25-18, 22-25, 25-15, 25-21 to win their 3rd straight match and improve to 6-2 on the year.

Janae Hamilton (Ellicottville) led the Lady Pioneers with 13 kills (.765 hitting percentage) on the night. Lera Braun (Waterloo) added 30 assists, eight kills, and seven digs, Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) had 18 digs and nine kills, and Jess Ramsey (Tioga) chipped in 17 digs.

Amanda Binder led Hilbert with 18 kills while Kayla Lewis had 15 assists and 13 digs.

Alfred St. has a few days off before hosting their first action of the season on Sunday. They take on Valley Forge at 10 a.m. and then battle Central Penn at 2 p.m. Valley Forge and Central Penn will play each other at Noon.
