#1 Florida College defeated #3 Alfred State 10-25, 13-25 as both teams closed up pool play at the USCAA National Championships at SUNY Canton. Florida wins the pool with a 4-0 mark while Alfred State finishes 2-2.

Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) recorded five kills and four digs for Alfred State. Jess Ramsey (Tioga) and Madison Szpaicher (Ellicottville) each had five digs.

Alfred State (24-6) will enter the quarterfinals as the #3 finisher in Pool A. They will take Cincinnati Clermont at 5:30 p.m. in Dana Hall. The rest of the tournament is best of five format.

In other quarterfinal action - Florida takes on Penn State Fayette, Berea battles Rochester, and Canton takes on Carlow.
