Elmira scored a 3-0 victory over Alfred State on Thursday afternoon. The win improved the Soaring Eagles to 5-5-2 and dropped the Lady Pioneers to 9-5-1 on the year.

Mackenzie Donohue scored in the 11th minute after Kerri Wertman's shot rang off the cross bar.

The game remained 1-0 until the 53rd minute when Alexa Barber scored after getting a pass from Abby Saturni. Saturni put the game out of reach in the 84th minute when Saturni scored after getting a pass from Mollie Hamilton.

Elmira held a 18 to 12 shot advantage. Amanda Banner made seven saves to record the shutout while Allison Danielak (Brockport) made seven saves for Alfred.

The Lady Pioneers head to Keuka on Saturday for a 1 p.m. battle the Wolfpack.
