Morrisville State used a strong inside presence to defeat Alfred State 83-54 on Wednesday evening.  The Mustangs scored 48 points in the paint and held a 52-19 rebounding advantage.

Jordan Prior led Morrisville with 20 poins while Tom Wilk was 7 for 9 down in the paint and grabbed eight rebounds.  Steven Thompson came off the bench and chipped in 12.

The Mustangs shot 47.8% from the field (25% from three) in the contest and grabbed 23 offensive boards.

Tommy Hutson (Brooklyn/Susan McKinney) led the blue & gold with 16 points while Jared Bard (Jordan Elbridge) finished with 11.  Charles Ingram (Harlem/Seward Park) chipped in eight.

The Pioneers shot 37.8% from the field and connected on 9 of their 18 three-point attempts.

Morrisville led 35-24 at the break.

The blue & gold head to Bronxville, NY this weekend to particpate in the Sarah Lawrence Tournament.  They play SUNY IT in their opening round contest at 6 p.m. on Friday.  Sarah Lawrence takes on SUNY ESF in the other opening round contest at 8 p.m.
