The Houghton College men's soccer team shutout Alfred State 5-0 in a battle over cross county rivals.  The Highlanders improve to 9-1-1 on the year.

Landon Sheaffer scored twice while Paul Seddon, Mitch Beattie, and Jesse Toth all had a goal an assist for Houghton.  HC out shot Alfred 32 to 1.

Nick Smith (Arkport) made nine saves for Alfred in net.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday when they travel to SUNY Canton for a 1 p.m. tilt with the Kangaroos.
