The Alfred State women's soccer team recorded its 5th shutout of the season with a 4-0 victory at Hilbert.  The Lady Pioneers are now 8-2 on the year.

Kali Muhleisen (Alfred Almond) got the Pioneers on the board in the 4th minute when she netted her team leading 15th goal.

The game remained 1-0 until the 67th minute when Alfred State exploded for three goals in three minutes.  Ally Vargeson (Addison), Hunter Pierce (Livonia), and Keri Teufel (Sachem) all scored to put the game out of reach.  Kelly Stieve (Brockport) was credited with an assists on the Teufel goal.

Alfred State held a 26 to 14 shot advantage in the contest.  Krista DeCarlo (West Islip) made five saves in net to record the shutout.

The blue & gold, currently ranked #6 in the USCAA, hit the road this weekend for a pair of games.  They take on Penn College on Saturday and Clarion University on Sunday.  Both games are slated for 1 p.m. starts.
