The Alfred State volleyball team saw their six match winning streak come to an end following a pair of losses at the Houghton College Invitational.  The Lady Pioneers fell 3-0 to Lycoming and 3-0 to Michigan Dearborn.

Rebecca Hanrahan (Greene) led the way with seven kills and four blocks vs. Lycoming (25-18, 25-23, 25-23) while Kay Pfleghardt (Tioga) had seven kills and four digs.  Lera Braun (Waterloo) chipped in 20 assists and six digs and Jessica Ramsey (Tioga) led the team with 11 digs.

Versus Michigan Dearborn (25-17, 25-20, 25-19), Braun had 16 assists, 12 digs, and four aces. Pfleghardt had nine kills while Ramsey and Mishaya Tuttle (Campbell Savona) each had 10 digs.

The blue and gold (17-10) continue play at Houghton on Saturday with a 10 a.m. contest vs. SUNY Canton and a 2 p.m. battle with Hilbert.
